UPDATE: HoaP 7.0 is now sold out!.

We’re going back to the CCC camp!  The 2007 CCC Camp is where Hackers on a Plane began, and we’re pleased to be headed back to the 2011 CCC Camp.

What’s included:

    • Also leaving from LAS on Monday, August 8, 2011 for those of you attending DEFCON, returning to LAS on Sunday, August 21.
    • More cities will be added if more than 10 people sign up from a given airport destination!
  • A relaxation and jet lag adjustment stay in Berlin.
  • Charter flight into the campsite!
  • Tent, food and admission to the CCC Camp starting the night of Tuesday, August 9 through August 15, 2011.  The tents, cots and kitchen will be set up for you in advance and we’ll be serving three meals a day in our foodhacking center.
  • 5 day, 3 country European Rail pass.  Choose your own hackerspaces tour after the camp!  Travel any five of the 7 days from Monday, August 15 through Sunday August 21.  Just be back in Berlin in time to catch the flights home on the 21st!

  1. I’d like to buy a ticket, but Google checkout button returns: “Oops!
Unfortunately, this merchant no longer accepts payments through Google. We apologize for the inconvenience”

  2. Hello! I sent an email to info@hackersonaplane.info a week or so ago, but I didn’t get a response, so I thought I’d post them here:

    1) Any information on how many people have signed up so far?
    2) Have you picked flights (or at least air carriers) for the to/from
    US flights?
    3) Any advice you’d give to a prospective first-time #HoaP-er?

    Thanks!

    1. Hey Brendan!

      1) Right now, we’ve got 8 people signed up to go.
      2) Yes, the flights from JFK/SFO are being handled through Delta, the LAS flight is being handled by Air Berlin. However, Delta means all the SkyTeam partners–so we could end up on Air France, KLM, etc.
      3) Be ready for the adventure!

    1. The payment link is back up…we had to abandon Google Payments because their Terms of Service doesn’t allow for the purchase of Travel. Guh!

  3. I just wanted to thank Nick Farr for organizing this trip. The HAR2009 / Plumbercon trip he organized was excellent. I highly recommend the HOaP experience to anyone considering it. You’ll be traveling with interesting, fun people to a great event. Go for it!

  4. Always remember Air HoaP Passengers: CHECK YOUR BIRTHDAY ON YOUR PASSPORT AND ANY TYPOS. We can’t have old ass hackers on the friendly skies. Ask Nick F4rr. Thank you, and enjoy your flight :D
